Plate calculator

Type the weight, get the plates per side. Tick the plates your gym has; the loader uses at most half of each count per side and finds an exact load even when that means skipping a big plate.

Bar × 10, then 50 % × 5, 70 % × 3, 85 % × 1, rounded to the plate increment. Steps that land on the bar or above the working weight are dropped.

How it works

The target minus the bar, halved, is what each side needs. The loader tries the heaviest plate first and backs off when a combination cannot finish exactly: with two 15s and four 10s, 60 kg loads 10 + 10 per side, not 15 and a gap. When no exact load exists it says so and gives the nearest loadable weight, the way the app does on the set row (“Not loadable exactly — nearest 82.5 kg”).

In the app the plate sheet opens from the set row with one tap, the inventory is saved in Settings, and “Add warm-up sets” inserts the ramp above your working sets.
